1971
Establishing the Company

During Japan’s period of rapid economic growth, the bicycle industry flourished as the center of Japanese manufacturing. Keizo Kozaki who was engaged in sales activities at a wholesale bicycle goods company, sensed the potential for functional, high-quality cycle parts produced by Japanese manufacturers to succeed in the global bicycle market and decided to establish a trading company to sell “Made in Japan” cycle parts for the overseas bicycle market.

“KOZAKI Trading” – Everything was kicked off at that year.

Meeting with an Innovator
Colorado, United States – Howie Cohen was always looking for ways to improve the quality and add value to the BMX and other sport bicycles produced in the United States. He was constantly searching for a way to improve the quality and add value to the BMX and other sports bicycles produced in the United States. During his search, he came across a sales letter. It was a letter from a Japanese exporter, Keizo Kozaki.
Would you be interested in Japanese bicycle products?” -Howie saw new possibilities in Keizo’s message and headed to Japan to meet with Keizo. Howie wanted to sell high-quality bicycles and parts made in Japan in the United States.

Started exporting Japanese bicycle products
Keizo and Howie met in Japan and launched a project to export high-quality sports bicycles from Japan. The project was a success and introduced various bicycle brands, such as Shimano, to the world market.

1975~
Exporting Japanese parts to Taiwanese manufacturers
Keizo receives a message from Howie one day.
He said, “I found a great bicycle manufacturer. I believe it would be a good idea to procure products from here. Let’s go to Taiwan together now!”
Keizo felt Howie’s strong passion and immediately flew to Taiwan. Howie then spoke to him.
From now on, we will try to develop a bicycle manufacturer here!
Keizo’s fateful encounter led him to develop a strong business as a pioneer in the export of Japanese bicycle parts. In particular, he began handling a growing number of Shimano parts and exporting them not only to Taiwan but also to other countries around the world.

1980~
Keizo and Howie had a long-lasting partnership. Their relationship, which began with a chance meeting, became a valuable network that led to many business opportunities in the industry. Howie is also known for overseeing the Japanese BMX bikes ridden by the main characters in the 1982 movie “E.T.”.
Keizo remained at the forefront of the industry until his retirement in 2019.
1985
Started importing Global Bicycle products.
In response to the growing trend of foreign brands, Kozaki began importing complete bikes and high-end cycle parts.

Annual trade transactions reach 10 billion yen

Susumu Kozaki was appointed President
